According to a report published in Indian Express, the franchise is busy finalising the retention list for the upcoming season and is expected to retain many key players in their squad. Reports also suggest that the Mumbai franchise will look to buy wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan for the forthcoming edition of the big event and also use their RTM card for picking Australian batter Tim David. It will be interesting to see that who are the other two players that Mumbai decides to retain. As per the new retention policy, a franchise can retain a maximum of six players from the previous edition. Rohit, who has been associated with the side since 2011, led Mumbai to five IPL titles over the years. However, in the last edition, he was removed as the captain and a chance was offered to Hardik who unfortunately failed to deliver for the side.
