Indian women's cricket team was knocked out of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 after Pakistan suffered a heavy 54-run defeat to New Zealand in their final group game in Dubai.

This was Pakistan's lowest all-out total in history but, instead of their disastrous batting performances, the Indian fans were more furious at their fielding display, which was even more shambolic.
They were so poor that calling their fielding effort the worst in women's cricket's history wouldn't be an exaggeration. The Pakistani fielders dropped not one or two but eight freaking catches in a T20 game, that's one catch every 2.5 overs. During the 2019 ODI World Cup, Pakistani fans blamed the Men in Blue for losing on purpose to stop their side from making the semis. © Instagram/therealpcb Back then, the Indian cricket team had a bad day in the office with both bat and ball but their fielding was top-notch, with Ravindra Jadeja pulling one of the best catches of the tournament. However, the Pakistan women's cricket team spilt eight absolute dollies in this crucial game, allowing New Zealand to post a respectable total on the board. "The match was fixed as Pakistan can never see India go through semi finals," wrote one person. "They have made the Pakistan men's team's catching look OK in comparison. They've done the impossible," commented another.

Had they fielded better, Pakistan would have allowed themselves to do the unthinkable. But instead, they ended up becoming butt of jokes on social media.
