Gujarat Titans made a statement signing in the IPL 2024 signing when they splashed a massive amount of money on Jharkhand's Robin Minz.
Robin Minz, a youngster from Jharkhand, made his name with some explosive performances in the youth tournaments in domestic cricket. Robin, who hails from Gumla district in Jharkhand, was signed by the Titans for a whopping Rs 3.6 crore in the auction. But unfortunately, things haven't gone well for Robin since. The youngster suffered an unfortunate bike accident which ruled him out of the IPL 2024. He tore his scapula and was subsequently not fit to feature in the tournament. But the player is looking to revive his career with the auction coming in a couple of months. Minz has been an exciting prospect for Jharkhand, but his progression was hindered with the accident. Although the player had to suffer a setback, Minz is hopeful of making a fresh start. The player spoke with MyKhel recently and says he is training with the Jharkhand team in Ranchi ahead of the CK Nayudu Trophy. "I am in Ranchi with the Jharkhand U23 camp, preparing for the Col CK Nayudu Trophy." Incidentally, Robin's rise in cricket was during the U23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy quarter-final. Representing Jharkhand against Karnataka, Minz scored a commendable 137 runs last year. When MyKhel asked about his recovery, Minz confirmed that he is injury free currently and is gearing up for the tournament. The player also spoke highly about the Titans, who provided support to him during his injury days. The 22-year-old made a meteoric rise in the IPL out of the blue, but his dream deal didn't materialize in the field. But Robin is desperate to make up for lost time and reinvent himself through the ranks. With the IPL auction set to arrive in a couple of months, the player is not thinking too much about that, as his sole focus is now to perform for his state in the upcoming tournaments.
