Australia defeated India by 9 runs to qualify for the semifinals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. With their second defeat in the tournament, the Women on Blue are on the brink of elimination from the group stage. If New Zealand beat Pakistan, Harmanpreet Kaur’s teams will return home.

Australia posted 151/8, with Grace Harris (40), Tahlia McGrath (32) and Ellyse Perry (32) making useful contributions.

Chasing 152 runs, Harmanpreet Kaur (54 not out) tried her best but she was not supported by other batters. For Australia, Annabel Sutherland and Sophie Molineux took two wickets each.
