Question raised on Virat for saving Babar

Fans vented their anger on social media but ODI team opener Fakhar Zaman is the only player who came out openly and raised questions on Babar's removal. But in order to support Babar, Fakhar also took Virat Kohli to task and wrote that despite his poor form, BCCI had not dropped him.

Fakhar wrote in a post on 'X' that the news of dropping Babar Azam is worrying. He again mentioned Kohli and wrote that between 2020 and 2023, when Virat was going through a bad phase and he was scoring runs at an average of 19.33, 28.21 and 26.50, even then BCCI did not drop him. Describing Babar as the best batsman in the history of Pakistan cricket, Fakhar wrote that the decision to drop him could send a wrong message to the team. He wrote that instead of harming the players, emphasis should be laid on saving them.

Indian fans reprimanded

This one post of Fakhar Zaman created an uproar on 'X' and Indian fans scolded the Pakistani batsman fiercely. Many Indian users also cited the repeated comparison of Virat Kohli with Babar Azam as the reason for the bad phase of the Pakistani team and Babar and wrote that despite this, Pakistani players and fans are not ready to improve.

After continuous failure, the wrath fell on Babar

Pakistan had to face a crushing defeat against England in the first test match played in Multan. Many players including Babar Azam were failing in this test, but being the biggest batsman of the team, everyone kept a close eye on Babar.
