The sixth edition of the Emerging Asia Cup is set to take place in Oman and for the first time, the tournament will be played in a T20 format.
Scheduled from October 18 to 27, the competition will feature eight teams, divided into two groups 'A' side and 'B' side. Matches will be held at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat. Last year, the tournament returned after a four-year break and was played in the ODI format. This year's switch to T20 will add a fresh dimension, promising fast-paced action and showcasing emerging cricket talent in the region. A few big Indian names from the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be seen representing the nation.
