Team India: Team India has been announced for the New Zealand Test series. Jasprit Bumrah has been appointed as vice-captain in the team squad selected for the New Zealand Test series. In the recent T20 series against Bangladesh, Suryakumar Yadav was appointed captain of the team but the responsibility of vice-captain was not given to the player.

Due to which it is now believed that after Test cricket, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah can now give the responsibility of vice-captaincy of the Indian team to this veteran in ODI and T20 cricket also.

Jasprit Bumrah can become the new vice-captain of Team India

Jasprit Bumrah has recently been appointed as the vice-captain in Test cricket. After appointing Jasprit Bumrah as vice-captain, some media reports are claiming that the selection committee can now appoint Jasprit Bumrah as the vice-captain of the team in white ball cricket also. If this happens, then this will be the first time when Jasprit Bumrah will take the charge of vice-captain for Team India in ODI cricket.

In the year 2023, Team India visited Ireland in the month of August. On that tour, Team India was to play a series of 3 T20 matches but due to rain, only one match could be completed in the entire series and in that, Team India won under the captaincy of Jasprit Bumrah. This was the first time when Jasprit Bumrah captained Team India in the white ball format.

At the end of the year 2024, Team India has to tour Australia to play Border Gavaskar Trophy. There is a doubt about captain Rohit Sharma playing in the first match of Australia tour. In such a situation, reports are now coming that Jasprit Bumrah will be seen playing the responsibility of captaincy for Team India in the Perth Test match in the absence of Rohit Sharma.
