In the recent T20 series against Bangladesh, Suryakumar Yadav was appointed captain of the team but the responsibility of vice-captain was not given to the player.

Due to which it is now believed that after Test cricket, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah can now give the responsibility of vice-captaincy of the Indian team to this veteran in ODI and T20 cricket also.
