Mayank Yadav was impressive in the T20I series against Bangladesh. He was used in the middle overs by captain Suryakumar Yadav, but due to the rest given to Arshdeep Singh in the third and final game, Mayank was the only frontline pacer.
He took a wicket on the first ball using his pace and accuracy.
Parvez Hossain Emon couldn’t handle the chest-high delivery and was caught by Riyan Parag. The Indian speedster joined the list of the bowlers who took a wicket on the first delivery of the innings.
He is the fourth Indian bowler to have achieved this record after Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya.
Mayank dismissed Mahmadullah to add another scalp to his bowling figures as he conceded 32 runs from 4 overs. In his debut series, the right-arm pacer took 4 wickets in 3 matches, with a wicket in every game.
He reached the 150 kmph mark in Hyderabad and was hailed for his accuracy with the ball. Mayank is the fastest Indian bowler and would be considered for other formats of the game as well.
India scored 297 runs in the first innings against Bangladesh, thanks to Sanju Samson’s hundred and hitting from Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Riyan Parag.
Bangladesh could only manage 164 and lost the match by 133 runs.
