Samson's explosive innings, which ultimately ended at 111 runs in 47 balls, included nine boundaries and eight sixes . His first fifty came off 22 balls, and he accelerated even further, reaching his century within 18 more deliveries. One of the highlight moments of his innings was his onslaught on Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, who was smashed for five consecutive sixes in the 10th over.
This knock propelled India to a total of 297/6 in the third and final T20I of the Bangladesh series. This is the highest total scored by a Test-playing nation in T20I matches, and the second-highest total overall in the shortest format.

Samson's hundred-run stint against Bangladesh made him the 11th Indian player to score a century for India in T20Is. His high score of 111 is also the sixth-highest individual score by an Indian batter in the shortest format of the game.
