India were unstoppable in the third and final T20I against Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The Men in Blue posted 297/6, the highest total by a full-member team in the history of the men’s T20Is.

India National Cricket Team went past Afghanistan’s record of 278/3 against Ireland on February 23, 2019. Meanwhile, the total achieved by India is also the second highest ever in the shortest format. The record is held by Nepal, who scored 314/3 against Mongolia on September 23, 2023.

Suryakumar Yadav’s team lost Abhishek Sharma early in the innings. He scored just 4 runs before heading back to the dressing room.a

It was Sanju Samson and Suryakumar’s show that hogged the limelight. The two added 173 runs for the second wicket. Samson scored his maiden hundred, amassing 111 off 47 balls. The right-handed batter hit 11 fours and 8 sixes and his runs came at a strike rate of 236.17.

SKY managed 75 off 35 deliveries, with the help of 8 fours and 5 sixes. Despite Samson and Yadav’s departure, the scoring rate didn’t slow down.

Hardik Pandya scored 47 off 18 balls, packed with 4 fours and 4 sixes. Riyan Parag was impressive as well, contributing a fine 34 off 13 balls, including 4 sixes and 1 four.
