The BCCI management has announced a 15-member Team India for the 3-match Test series against New Zealand. This series to be played against New Zealand will start from October 16 and this series is very special for the Indian team in terms of qualification for 'WTC Final 2025'.

For this series, only those players have been selected by the management who were part of the Indian team in the Test series played against Bangladesh. Along with this, the management has also announced additional players along with Team India for this series. These players will be seen traveling with the Indian team.

15 players from Bangladesh series got a chance in Team India

In the team that has been announced by the BCCI selection committee for the Test series against New Zealand, all the old players have been given chances in that team. This team includes 15 players who were part of Team India for the Test series against Bangladesh.

Left arm fast bowler Yash Dayal was a part of the Indian team in the Test series against Bangladesh but he has not been given a chance in this series by the management. Apart from these, all the remaining players have been given a chance in the Indian team.

Uncapped players got place as travel reserve

The selection committee of BCCI has included 4 players as reserve players with the 15-member Team India in the Test series against New Zealand. Out of these 4 players, there are 3 players who have not made their debut in Test cricket for the Indian team, while the fourth player, Prasidh Krishna, has made his debut in Test cricket for the Indian team. Along with Prasidh Krishna, the management has given opportunity to Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana as reserve players.

Rohit Sharma (captain), Jasprit Bumrah (vice-captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj and Akash Deep.
