Friday 11th October proved to be a very bad day for Pakistan cricket. On one hand, Pakistan men's team had to face a crushing defeat by one innings and 47 runs at the hands of England in the test match in Multan, due to which the team is being criticized in the entire cricket world. In the evening, thousands of kilometers away from Multan, Pakistan women's team had to face a similar crushing defeat in the T20 World Cup in Dubai. The only difference was that the women's team faced a tough challenge from a world champion team like Australia. In this 14th match of the World Cup, Australia defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets in just 11 overs and with their third consecutive win, they have almost confirmed their place in the semi-finals.

Only 4 fours in 20 overs, bundled out for 82 runs

In this match, Pakistan batted first and like the last three matches, once again its batsmen disappointed badly. Australia's bowling was strong but Pakistani batsmen could not play openly even in the powerplay and the team had to suffer the consequences of that. In the first 6 overs, Pakistan had scored only 23 runs and lost 2 wickets. Due to this, it became more difficult for the subsequent batsmen to score runs and the entire team collapsed for just 82 runs in 19.5 overs.

The Pakistani team was playing in this match without its young captain Fatima Sana, who had returned to the country a day earlier due to the death of her father. The Pakistani team missed Fatima, who had played short but fast innings for the team in the last two matches and had achieved a competitive score. Then he did wonders in bowling also. The effect of his absence was visible on Pakistan and the team could score only 4 fours in the entire innings. Aliya Riaz scored the maximum 26 runs for Pakistan, while for Australia, spin all-rounder Ashley Gardner took 4 wickets for 21 runs.

Australia finished the game easily

As expected, this target did not prove to be at all difficult for defending champion Australia. Although it also had a slow start and no boundaries came on the first 11 balls of the innings, but after that it just rained runs. In the next 6 consecutive balls, Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney hit 4 fours, equal to Pakistan's entire innings. Beth Mooney was out in the fifth over but Alice Perry and Healy, who came after her, together gave the team victory till the 11th over. Captain Healy scored 37 runs in just 23 balls but retired hurt. Perry scored 22 runs.
