Latest News :- The ICC Women's T20 Cricket World Cup series starts in the United Arab Emirates from today. The first match on the opening day will be between Bangladesh and Scotland. In the second match, Pakistan-Sri Lanka teams will do multi test. The 9th ICC Women's T20 Cricket World Cup series begins in the United Arab Emirates from today. A total of 10 teams are going to participate in this series which will run till 20th. These are divided into two categories. Reigning champions Australia, India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka have been placed in 'A' category. Group 'B' consists of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, Scotland and West Indies.

In the league round, each team will face other teams of its division once. The top two teams in each division will advance to the semi-finals. On the opening day today at 3.30 pm, the teams of Bangladesh and Scotland will face each other in Sharjah. In the second match, Pakistan will face Sri Lanka which will take place at 7.30 pm. Scotland is making its debut in the T20 World Cup. The team had defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets in the practice match. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka lost by 5 wickets. Bangladesh lost to Sri Lanka by 33 runs in the practice match. But won the match against Pakistan by 23 runs. So far, Scotland has played 4 international T20 cricket matches against Bangladesh. The team did not win even one of these.

6-time champion Australia will face Sri Lanka in its opening match on 5th. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Indian team in this T20 cricket festival. Team India will face New Zealand tomorrow (4th) in its first league match. The next match is a multi-test against Pakistan on 6th. Only Rs 8.4 crore was given in the last series of 2023. The team finishing second will get Rs 9.8 crore. Each team losing in the semi-finals will be given a prize of Rs 5.7 crore. Teams ranked 5th to 8th will get Rs 2.25 crore and teams ranked 9th and 10th will get Rs 1.13 crore.
