Ranji Trophy 2024-25 Kerala Squad: Sachin Baby named Captain, Sanju Samson not Included

Kerala named their squad for the first two Ranji Trophy matches, which will start with a home match against Punjab from Friday (October 11).
  Sachin Baby is set to captain the side as they aim to make a positive start to the domestic season. Former India player Amay Khurasiya is named the head coach of Kerala ahead of the season. Sanju Samson is not part of the Kerala squad for the first two matches. The India player is currently playing against Bangladesh and will not be available for his state.
But Vishnu Vinod, Basil Thampi are named in the team, whereas Mohd Azharuddeen is also going to feature for Kerala in the first two matches. The opportunity also arises for Salman Nizar, who was excellent in the recently concluded Kerala Cricket League (KCL). Tamil Nadu player Baba Aparajith has also switched allegiance to Kerala and is going to be part of the squad for the first two matches. The pace department will be spearheaded by Basil Thampi, whereas the likes of Asif KM, and Fazil Fanoos are also going to play a crucial role.
Despite a good showing in the KCL, Akhil Scaria and Sharafuddeen haven't been included in the team.
