Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is set to return to the field, this time leading India in the inaugural International Masters League (IML), a much-anticipated tournament that will feature some of the greatest retired cricketers from around the world.
This T20 spectacle will run from November 17 to December 8, 2024, offering fans a nostalgic look at iconic cricketing rivalries and timeless talent. Tendulkar Returns as India Captain in IML, Featuring Lara, Kallis, and Watson The IML will showcase six teams representing India, Australia, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies.   The matches are set to be played across three iconic venues in India:
  • DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai
  • Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow
  • SVNS Cricket Stadium in Raipur
The league opener promises an exciting start as India takes on Sri Lanka on November 17 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. In the following match, Australia, led by Shane Watson, will battle against South Africa, captained by Jacques Kallis. Fans can also look forward to a thrilling encounter between Brian Lara's West Indies and Australia. India's next big fixture will be against South Africa at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on November 21. After six intense matches at the Lucknow venue, the tournament will head to Raipur, where India will take on England on November 28 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium. Raipur will also be the stage for the two semifinals, culminating in the final match on December 8, where the IML champion will be crowned.
