The investigating agency had also reached the Hyderabad headquarters of the association on Tuesday in this matter.

Scam worth Rs 20 crores

A scam of Rs 20 crore has taken place with generators, fire engines and other equipment purchased for Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. In this case, ED had issued a notice to former Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president Mohammad Azharuddin and ordered him to appear for investigation. Hyderabad Police had registered an FIR against him in October last year, in which he has been accused of criminal breach of trust, cheating, forgery and conspiracy.

61-year-old Mohammad Azharuddin played cricket for India for 16 years from 1984 to 2000. During this period he played 99 Tests and 334 ODIs. Azharuddin was also the Indian captain for a long time.
