It is being said that this series could be the last series of these two greats for Team India and after this they can be seen announcing their retirement. Both these legends have emerged as top performers for the Indian team in ODI cricket for a long time.

Many young players can be included in the team that will be announced by the BCCI selection committee for the series to be played against Afghanistan in June 2026.
