Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is hopeful that India will come to the country for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Mohsin was speaking to the press when he opened up on India’s participation.

“I am confident that India will come to Pakistan. There is no reason for them to postpone or cancel their visit for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. All the teams will come,” he said.

Pakistan were one of the co-hosts of the ODI World Cup in 1996 and since then, the sub-continent nation was not given hosting rights of any ICC event.

The terror attack on Sri Lankan in 2009 ended Pakistan’s chances of co-hosting the 2011 ODI World Cup. The matches were played in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

While India have not travelled to Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup, the Men in Green have played in India on three different occasions. The two teams competed in 2012-13. Pakistan also played the 2016 T20 World Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup in India.

During the 2023 World Cup, Pakistan played their matches in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.

Notably, Pakistan are currently hosting England for a three-match series.

Pakistan are eighth in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 standings.
