ACC Mens Emerging Asia Cup 2024: Emerging Asia Cup 2024 will be played in Oman from October 18 to October 27. A total of 8 teams will participate in this tournament. Out of the eight teams, five will be full member nations of the Asian Cricket Council. Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its team for this tournament. The player who has played 15 international matches has been made the captain of Pakistan A team for this tournament. Last time too, Pakistan had won the title under the captaincy of the same player. When Pakistan A team defeated India A by 128 runs in the final match.

Pakistan A team announced for Emerging Asia Cup

Mohammad Haris, who has played 9 T20 and six ODI matches for Pakistan, has been made the captain of Pakistan A team for Emerging Asia 2024. Whereas, Abdul Samad, Ahmed Daniyal, Yasir Khan and Zaman Khan have got a place in Pakistan A team for the first time. Let us tell you, before leaving for Oman on October 16, the Pakistan team will participate in the camp at Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Center in Karachi from October 11 to 15. In this tournament, Pakistan team has to play its first match against India.

India-Pakistan teams in the same group

The 8 teams participating in the tournament have been divided into 2 groups. Group A has the teams of Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A and Hong Kong. Whereas, India A, Pakistan A, UAE and Oman are part of Group B. In this tournament, the teams of India and Pakistan will compete on 19 October. Pakistan's second match in the tournament will be against host Oman on October 21, after that their last group match will be against UAE on October 23. At the same time, the top-2 teams of each group will qualify for the semi-finals to be held on October 25. Then the final will be played on Sunday 27 October.
