India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the first match of the three-match T20 International series with the help of brilliant performances from Varun Chakravarthy, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya. The first T20 International match was played at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium, Gwalior.

Batting first, the entire Bangladesh team collapsed on the score of 127 in 19.5 overs. The maximum 35 (32)* runs from the team came from the bat of Mehdi Hasan Miraj. In this innings he hit 3 fours. Mustafizur Rahman and Miraj got one wicket each.
