Aryan Bhatia scored a half century and took two wickets as Champions Cricket Academy (CCA) defeated Mahajan School of Cricket by 42 runs during the ongoing 2nd DP Azad Sports U-19 Tournament.
Batting first, CCA posted 180 runs before getting all-out in 38.4 overs. Bhatia scored 53 off 83 balls.
Bhatia and Mohit (17) opened the innings and raised a 43-run stand before the latter fell prey to left-arm quick Utkarsh Singh. Thereafter, Utkarsh claimed four more wickets, while Shivam Nagrath picked three for the bowling side.
In reply, Mahajan School of Cricket registered a poor start as the side was reduced to 75/7 in 18 overs. Rahul Maurya (4/35), Bhatia (2/16) were the pick of the bowlers. Dhruv Mittal (54 off 51 balls) remained the lone main contributor for Mahajan School of Cricket as the side bundled out at 138. Utkarsh and Mittal were adjudged the best bowler and the best batter, respectively, while Bhatia claimed the player of the match award.
