An abdominal strain had sidelined the young pacer for five months, and he's certainly keen to return to competitive cricket since that April 30 clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) for Lucknow Super Giants in his maiden IPL. For sure Mayank would like to bowl his full quota of overs, unleashing his 150kmph-plus thunderbolts in each of the three games and remain fit throughout the series. The Australia tour is still on his mind, though. What bodes well for the 22-year-old quick is that he has the trust of captain Suryakumar Yadav. "Mayank has that X-factor. I have seen his potential and the impact he can make," Surya said at the news conference on Saturday. "Surely, he has that extra pace. We need to managehim properly as there's a lot of cricket going on in both thedomestic and international circuits. He's a good addition to the Indian team and doing his fitness drills well," Surya emphasised. Asked about his ambitions of leading an IPL team, Surya replied: "Earlier, when I used to play under Rohitbhai at MI, then also I used to give my inputs. As for the rest, you'll get to know as the IPL begins."
