Delhi Capitals (DC) will lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 16th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). The DC vs KKR clash is being played at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. DC’s confidence will be high after their win over champions Chennai Super Kings in their last outing. The Rishabh Pant-led side began their campaign in IPL 2024 with losses against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals before bouncing back in style. They ended CSK’s winning start to the season with a comfortable 20-run victory. Captain Rishabh Pant also roared back to form with a fine match-winning fifty and DC will be hoping that he continues to lead them from the very front. Their opponents for tonight, KKR are also in fine form and must be very confident with the way things have unfolded so far. The two-time IPL champions began their season with a four-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad while defending 208. In their next game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, KKR chased down a total of 183 in less than 17 overs by losing just three wickets. The momentum is definitely with the Kolkata-based outfit and they will be looking to make the most of it.

KKR have won the toss and opted to bat first. Speaking at the toss, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer said: “We’ll bat first. The wicket looks like a belter, no drastic change in the wicket when compared to the last game. “It’s been quite a journey, was a with Delhi and now with KKR, I’m comfortable with this switch. Anything can happen on a given day, it’s important to stick to the process. We’ve Sunil (Narine) coming in and going after the bowlers in the first 6 overs, so his role is very clear and the rest know what’s expected of them. One change – Angrish Raghuvanshi comes in,” he added. DC captain Rishabh Pant said: “We would have batted first as well, could get a bit slower. It was nice to be back with the group, but I’m not thinking too far ahead. Thew bowlers did a great job, the fast bowlers, and we’d like them to do it once again. “Not thinking about the team combination for the first two games, but we’ve had people working hard in the nets.
