India will become famous in sports, talk will be held in Olympics also, this policy of Modi government will bring sports revolution.

About two months ago, in the Olympic Games held in Paris, Indian players could not perform as per expectations and the country got only 6 medals. Within a few days, the opposite happened in the Paralympic Games held in Paris itself and Indian athletes created history by winning 29 medals. Then last month, for the first time in the history of Chess Olympiad, India won gold medals for the women's and men's teams. That is, the condition of sports in the country is improving but more work is needed and to fully implement this improvement in the coming years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is coming up with a new sports policy, which will be implemented in the country. From sports infrastructure to talent discovery and hosting the Olympic Games.

Suggestions sought on new policy

Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently released a draft to implement the new sports policy in the country. The Sports Ministry has prepared this draft policy, which has been released on the website of the ministry. At present, apart from sports experts, the ministry has also sought the opinion of the general public on this and has been given time till October 30 for this. After implementing the suggestions received as per the need, a new sports policy will be issued soon and will replace the previous policy which was in place since 2001.

Objective of sports policy

The scope of this sports policy is going to be very big and it will also be linked to the National Education Policy. Its aim is to provide education and awareness of sports, which the government aims to start from the school education level itself. Considering the improvement in India's performance in different sports in the last few years, the aim of this policy is to continue it and take it to a higher level. For this, infrastructure i.e. facilities for every sports like stadium, running track, swimming pool, archery center etc. have to be prepared. Besides, identification of talented players and their development from an early age is also a part of this sports policy. Not only playing, but also promoting sports in the form of education will be done under this policy.

Keeping an eye on Olympic event

The present government, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been continuously talking about organizing Olympic Games in the country for the last few years and for this, the target has been set for 2036 Olympics, for which preparations are also being made to bid. Before that, efforts are also being made to organize the 2030 Youth Olympics in India. This is a part of the government's new sports policy, under which emphasis has been laid on organizing many important sporting events across the world in India.
