Bangladesh team did not go to mosque for Friday prayers

Before the T20 match with India in Gwalior, Bangladesh cricket team did not go to Moti Masjid of the city for Friday prayers. Instead he offered namaz in his hotel itself. "We had made elaborate security arrangements around Moti Masjid but the Bangladesh team did not come. There was no call from any organization to disrupt their visit," a police officer told PTI.

The mosque in the Phoolbagh area of ​​the city is about 3 km away from the hotel where the Bangladeshi team is staying. He said, 'The decision not to visit the mosque might have been taken at the management level of the team.' The official confirmed that 'Shahar Qazi' reached the hotel and offered 'Namaz-e-Juma' to the Bangladeshi cricketers between 1 pm and 2.30 pm.

Strong security arrangements for Bangladeshi team

The official said they had made elaborate security arrangements outside the mosque, where several media persons were also waiting for the Bangladesh team. The distance between the hotel and the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium, where the Bangladesh team has been practicing since October 3, is about 23 km and the players are moving freely as per their schedule amid the security cordon.

The official said, 'More than 2,500 police personnel have already been deployed for the India-Bangladesh T20 match to be held in Gwalior on Sunday. Police will be on the streets from 2 pm on Sunday. After the game is over, they will remain on duty until the fans reach home.
