India women’s cricket team was found wanting against New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The Kiwis defeated the Women in Blue by 58 runs to start their campaign on a positive note.

New Zealand scored 160/4 in 20 overs and restricted India to 102 all out in 19 overs. Team India’s big names failed to reach the 20-run mark, with Rosemary Mair and Lea Tahuhu taking 4 and 3 wickets, respectively.

Earlier, New Zealand captain Sophie Devine scored 57, laced with 7 fours.
