Rishabh Pant: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued new rules regarding the retention of IPL 2025. All franchises can retain a maximum of 6 players this time but by doing so they will not be able to use the Right to Match card i.e. RTM.
In the meantime, reports are coming out in various media regarding various players. In this series, now such news is coming out about Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant that he can join Chennai Super Kings and can also be seen captaining there.
If we talk about Pant, he has a close relationship with former Chennai captain MS Dhoni and that is why it has been claimed that Pant can join Chennai. Meanwhile, reports have also surfaced that the Delhi team may also release Rishabh Pant.
However, now everything seems to be clear regarding this and big news has come out regarding Pant being retained by Delhi. Now team owner Parth Jindal has given a big reaction on this matter.
Actually, amidst the news of Rishabh Pant leaving Delhi, now Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal has given his reaction on this. Parth Jindal says that “Pant will be retained at any cost and we have taken this decision along with the team's cricket director Sourav Ganguly.”
Let us tell you that Rishabh is seen captaining Delhi and now once again he is going to be seen captaining the same team. Jindal has confirmed that Rishabh will be seen playing for the DC team.
If we look at the list of retained players, the first name that can be included in it is captain Rishabh Pant. Delhi team can retain him for Rs 18 crore. Apart from this, star all-rounder Akshar Patel can also be retained.
So, as an uncapped player, Delhi can retain young wicketkeeper batsman Abhishek Porel. Apart from these three, the franchise would not like to retain any other player, rather they would like to include players in their team through RTM.
