Team India: Team India recently won the Test series against Bangladesh 2-0 and made the path to reach the final of the World Test Championship easier. In this World Test Championship cycle (WTC Cycle), Team India still has to face the teams of New Zealand and Australia in the Test format.

The team has to play 3 Test matches against New Zealand and 5 Test matches against Australia. The selection committee can simultaneously announce an 18-member team squad for these 8 test matches. If reports are to be believed, the selection committee may decide to include 13 bowling options in the 18-member team squad.

Rohit Sharma will be the captain

Team India

Rohit Sharma is captaining Team India in the Test format from the Sri Lanka Test series in the year 2022. While captaining the team since 2022, Rohit Sharma has made the team win many test matches but now the upcoming two test series are going to be very important for Rohit Sharma as captain.

If Team India has to qualify for the finals in the current cycle of the World Test Championship, then for that Team India will have to perform brilliantly in both the Test series. Due to which the command of Team India for both these test series is expected to remain with Rohit Sharma.
