Gautam Gambhir: There are some players in the Indian cricket team who remain sitting outside even after performing well. On the other hand, there are some players who remain in the team even after continuous failure and are not shown the way out.
Now a player is included in this series, who is being given continuous opportunity in the team due to the recommendation of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Let us tell you that because of BCCI, head coach Gautam Gambhir is not able to show this player the way out.
Actually, the player we are talking about here is none other than Team India's wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul. Rahul is such a player, who remains with the team even after continuous flops.
Rahul's performance in test matches has not been anything special and his average has also been around 35. Even after such poor performance, he is included in the team and is seen playing in the playing eleven.
If we talk about Rahul, he has already been dropped from the T-20 format and he has not performed much in Test cricket either. Recently, he could score only one half-century in 3 innings of the two-match Test series played against Bangladesh.
In such a situation, even after such performance, he is being given continuous opportunities. Rahul also flopped in the ODI series on the recent Sri Lanka tour and could not score runs. In such a situation, if Gautam Gambhir has his way, he should show Rahul the way out.
Let us tell you that Team India has to play a 3-match test series against New Zealand from this month i.e. from 16th October. Rahul can be given a chance in the Indian team in this series.
He has not performed well for some time but in his last Test match innings, Rahul scored a quick half-century and played an important role in the victory of Team India.
