Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) squared off with each other in the match 15th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The game between the two teams took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday (2nd April). Lucknow Super Giants were asked and they had a decent outing with the bat. Opener Quinton de Kock played a stellar innings at the top of the order and scored 81 runs. Despite wickets falling on the other end, he made sure he kept smashing bowlers all over the park.  KL Rahul (20) and Marcus Stoinis (24) supported him well in the middle. But the real blitz came from the bat of Nicholas Pooran in the end. The keeper-batter smashed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers all over the park in the end and made sure that he took his team to a big total.  Lucknow Super Giants ended with a total of 181 runs on the board. For RCB Glenn Maxwell was the pick of the bowlers as he picked two wickets whereas the rest of the bowlers were taken to cleaners at their home ground in M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.  RCB had a solid opening stand between Virat Kohli (22) and Faf du Plessis (19) as the duo added 40 runs for the opening partnership. But after that wickets fell like a pack of cards as Mayank Yadav oozed his class and troubled the opposition batters with the pace.  With RCB tottering at 103/6, Mahipal Lomror played some magnificent shots in his innings and revived the hopes of the fans. He scored 33 runs off just 13 balls but couldn’t carry on as he fell in the 18th over and with his wicket, the home almost lost the game.  LSG then closed off the game pretty well and made sure that they won their second game of the game. RCB managed just 153 runs and lost the game by 28 runs. This was their third loss in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

The points table after RCB vs LSG Match 15 saw a minor change happening. Lucknow Super Giants climbed to the 4th spot whereas the rest of the table remained the same. Rajasthan Royals are the table toppers in the IPL 2024 Kolkata Knight Riders are at the second spot along with Chennai Super Kings at 3rd. Gujarat Titans are 5th followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad at 6th. DC, PBKS, RCB, and MI last four teams on the table.

Virat Kohli pipped Riyan Parag to take the No.1 spot in the orange cap table after RCB vs LSG. Heinrich Klaasen is the third on the table while Nicholas Pooran and Quinton de Kock after their knocks against RCB took 4th and 5th spot respectively.
