36-year-old veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma played his last match for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 season. After that Ishant Sharma was also included in Delhi Premier League (DPL) for Old Delhi 6 but Ishant Sharma was not fit during that time. Due to which he had not decided to take the field in even a single match.
Recently DDCA has announced the team squad for the first two matches of Ranji Trophy 2024 season. In which Ishant Sharma's name is not included. After which it is now believed that after International, even in domestic cricket, teams are not expressing confidence in Ishant Sharma's fitness.
