Pakistani player died while playing on the field

Pakistan's young cricketer, 22-year-old Zulfikar Bhatti was a club cricketer.

Who died during the Begum Khurshid Memorial T20 tournament, when he was hit by a ball on the chest while batting. This accident took place in Sukkur district of Sindh province of Pakistan. Bhatti, who was captained by his elder brother Ali Asad, was attempting a pull shot when the accident occurred. He was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Cricket was not played for many days

After this tragic incident, cricket was not played in the district for several days. District cricket secretary Ayaz Mahmood told ESPNcricinfo that it was very sad news for Pakistan and everyone was shocked by his sudden death. As a mark of condolence, the district administration had suspended sports activities in Sukkur district for three days. Bhatti was buried in his ancestral graveyard and his funeral prayers were offered at Dargah Bedil Bekas.
