The ICC Women's T20 World Cup kicked off in style with the Captains' Day at the Dubai International Stadium, bringing together all the 10 team captains on the eve of the ninth edition of the tournament.

During the event, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur highlighted the importance of continuous learning in cricket. 'I think that is something we keep learning every day. When you win, sometimes you feel, OK, that is something I have achieved. But the next day, when you play, you may make small mistakes. I think that is part of the game. Learning never stops, every day is a learning day. I'm constantly gaining experience from every game. The people around me are helping and working hard to take our team to the level we want to reach. I am happy with the hard work the team is putting in to achieve even the small goals,' Harmanpreet said as quoted by the ICC. The T20 World Cup, which will commence from October 3, will see 23 matches held over 18 days in the host cities of Dubai and Sharjah, promises to entertain and inspire a new generation of cricket fans. 2 matches will take place on the opening day of the tournament.
