Sarfaraz faced 286 balls and hit 4 sixes and 25 fours in his innings. On the basis of Sarfaraz's innings, Mumbai scored 537 runs in the first innings of Irani Trophy. Apart from Sarfaraz, Ajinkya Rahane played a brilliant inning of 97 runs. Shreyas Iyer scored 57 and Tanush Kotian scored 64 runs.
