Veteran Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir was appointed as the head coach of the Indian cricket team by the BCCI management and he took over from the Sri Lanka tour. As a coach, Gautam Gambhir had led the Indian team to a spectacular victory in the T20 series against Sri Lanka and along with this, the Indian team had to face defeat in the ODI series. Even in Test cricket, he has led the Indian team to victory against Bangladesh on home soil. But now news is coming that Gautam Gambhir has left the Indian team and due to this, disappointment is clearly visible among the Indian supporters.

Gautam Gambhir left Team India

The news is coming about Team India coach Gautam Gambhir that after the victory in Kanpur ground, he has returned to his home in Delhi. But the Indian team is yet to play the first match of the T20 series against Bangladesh on 6th October in Gwalior. Since Gautam has not been associated with the Indian T20 after winning the Test, it is being said that it is possible that Gautam Gambhir has left the coaching of the Indian team.

Gautam Gambhir can join the team in Delhi

Ever since Gautam Gambhir has returned to Delhi, the news is spreading rapidly that Gambhir may have asked for a few days leave from BCCI. Since after Gwalior, the second match of the series against Bangladesh is at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, hence Gambhir has come straight to Delhi and he can be seen joining the team just before this match. Abhishek Nair can replace Gautam Gambhir

Abhishek Nair has been assigned the role of batting coach by the BCCI management and he has been fully successful in this role. It has been reported about Nair that, if Gautam Gambhir is unable to join the team in the first match of the series, then he can be given the responsibility of head coach for the first match.
