Shadab Khan

Like Shaheen, Shadab also has experience of captaining Pakistan. At the age of 22 years and 75 days, he took over the reins of Pakistan for the first time and achieved the title of being the youngest captain of the country. Shadab Khan's resume as a contender for Babar Azam is strong because his recent form as captain has been tremendous. He is the current champion of PSL. It was under his captaincy that Islamabad United won the title this year. And, he has also led his team to the title victory in the recently concluded domestic ODI tournament Champions ODI Cup.

Mohammad Rizwan

Mohammad Rizwan also has captaincy experience in PSL. His hands are definitely tight in this matter on the international pitch of white ball cricket, but a big reason for this is that he has not got that many opportunities. It will be interesting to see whether PCB can consider Rizwan's name to replace Babar Azam.
