Ahead of day 5 of the second Test against Bangladesh, KL Rahul shared skipper Rohit Sharma's plan to secure a win in the Kanpur Test against Bangladesh after rain washed out two days of the second Test.
The India vs Bangladesh Test was severely affected by rain on two consecutive days leading to drainage problems on Day 3. Despite no rain on day 3, the match was called off due to a wet outfield. The Indian team is focused on winning the series despite the loss of two days. On day 4, India scored 285 runs in 34.4 overs where the openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal played incredible knocks with 23 in 11 balls and 72 in 51 balls respectively. On the other hand, the bowlers also put up a great show and made it difficult for the visitors as they dismissed them for 233 runs. Meanwhile, Rahul who scored 68 runs off 43 balls in the first innings shed some light on what Rohit Sharma had in mind to seal the series. He said that Sharma instructed everyone to play for the win and not settle for a draw in the series.  "The message was very clear from the start. We lost a couple of days due to rain. Most of the game was lost to weather, but we wanted to see what we could do in the time that was left. The plan was simple: find a way to play for the win. We were positive," Rahul said. "The message was very clear from Rohit. We lost a couple of wickets, but since Rohit's message was so clear that it didn't matter if we got out, we tried to do that." he added.
