India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the second Test match at the Green Park Stadium on October 1. Chasing just 95 runs, the hosts completed the task easily. Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were the three batters to depart. Despite losing Day 2 and Day 3 to rain, Rohit’s team managed to produce a result to take the Test series 2-0.
On Day 5, Bangladesh were bowled out for 146, with Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja taking three wickets each. Earlier, Bangladesh managed 233 in their first innings.
India posted 285/9d in 34.4 overs. The home team won the opening game by 280 runs in Chennai.
