Latest News :- Dwayne Bravo has been announced as the consultant of Kolkata Knight Riders, one of the IPL cricket teams. Kolkata team has released the announcement along with its video. 40 year old Bravo is the highest wicket taker in T20 cricket. He has taken 631 wickets in 582 matches. He played international cricket for West Indies from 2004 to 2021.

He has played 161 matches in IPL cricket and has taken 1560 runs and 183 wickets. He has played 116 matches for Chennai Super Kings. He has taken 1004 runs and 140 wickets for CSK. He has also worked as the bowling coach for CSK. At the same time he was playing in some other T20 league cricket. He announced his retirement today (Friday) due to not being able to play further due to injury. After this he was declared the advisor of the Kolkata team.

He said, “I am retiring from the cricket game which gave me everything. I have been interested in this sport since the age of five. I did what I wanted to do with it. This is my destiny also. I was never interested in anything else. I dedicated my entire life to this. This benefited me and my family. No matter how much I thank you for this, it's not enough,” Bravo said in her Instagram post.

“Bravo joining our team is an exciting event. His experience and deep knowledge of cricket will help our team and players a lot. He will be an integral part of the Knight Riders world-class cricket franchise,” said Venky Mysore, CEO, Knight Riders Group.

“I have the experience of playing in various league series of the Knight Riders group team. I have a lot of respect for his way of working. The passion of the owner and his management work, family like atmosphere makes the place great. Bravo said, I see this as a great opportunity to train and guide the next generation of players. Gautam Gambhir has taken over as a consultant and he is going to take care of the upcoming 2025 IPL season.
