Indians are set to face SunRisers Hyderabad in their second match of the Indian Premier League. MI have already arrived in Hyderabad and will take the field on March 27, Wednesday.

Both MI and SRH are coming off narrow defeats against Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively and will be looking to bag the first points of the season. Mumbai Indians' batter Tilak Varma will be playing in his hometown for the first time in this ongoing season of the tournament. The batter loves hosting his franchise in his hometown, and it was no exception ahead of the match against SRH. Varma gave the players from the franchise a taste of delicacies from Hyderabad. Mumbai Indians uploaded the video from their team hotel, where the team can be seen filling their plates with some delicious food.

HARDIK PANDYA CRITICISED

MI would be looking to fix the chinks in their armour after the defeat against Shubman Gill's GT. Hardik Pandya's return to Mumbai Indians was spoiled by the Gujarat bowlers, who put in an incredible effort to defend 43 runs from the final 5 overs. GT pacers, Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Spencer Johnson, combined with Rashid Khan to hand GT a nervy win. Pandya was criticised for his decision to open with the ball and not letting Bumrah do the damage early in the powerplay and was also questioned for coming out to bat in the lower-middle-order, instead at No.4 or No.5, where he was batting in Gujarat Titans. Pandya will hope to prove his critics wrong in the next game vs SRH, which will also be the first IPL game hosted by the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in this season. The pitch is expected to be a little two paced like it was in the previous season and the ODI World Cup 2023.
