India batting legend Virat Kohli attained a mega milestone on day 4 of IND vs BAN 2nd Test in Kanpur. By scoring his 35th run in India's first innings, he surpassed 27,000 runs in his international cricket career.
This achievement makes him the fourth player in the world and the second Indian to reach this remarkable landmark. Virat surpassed the milestone of 27,000 runs in only 594 innings over 535 matches, achieving this remarkable feat in the fewest innings. He joins the elite company of Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, and Ricky Ponting, who have also reached this landmark. Sachin was the first player to reach 27,000 runs in international cricket, accomplishing this milestone in 623 innings.
    'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for most runs in international cricket, amassing a total of 34,357 runs. He is followed by Kumar Sangakkara with 28,016 runs and Ricky Ponting with 27,483 runs. Aside from Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, no other Indian batter has crossed the 25,000-run mark in international cricket.  35-year-old Kohli showed his form in IND vs BAN Kanpur Test but narrowly missed his half-century, scoring 47 runs off 35 balls. During his innings, he struck four fours and one six. In his Test career, Virat Kohli has scored over 8,900 runs in 194 innings across 115 matches, with an average of around 49. He has also recorded 29 centuries, surpassing England's Graham Gooch (8,900) in total runs. Kohli currently ranks as the 18th highest run-scorer in Test cricket. Among Indian players, only Sachin Tendulkar (15,921), Rahul Dravid (13,265), and Sunil Gavaskar (10,122) have achieved higher run totals in Test matches.
