GT Released And Retained Players 2025: Gujarat Titans who won their first title in their debut season faced a drastic downfall last season. Shubman Gill and Co. managed to register only five victories in the league stage and ended up in the eighth spot in last year’s points table.

With a mega auction for the next season, Gujarat Titans will retain the majority of their core players and will be keen to build a winning team. The franchise faced a dip in their performance last season after they traded their captain Hardik Pandya to the Mumbai Indians for INR 15 crore.

Though the exact date for the IPL 2025 mega auction has not yet been revealed, the event is expected to be held in the 3rd or 4th week of November 2024 in UAE or London.

As per the report, the teams must announce their final retention list by 5 PM IST on October 31.

According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.

Gujarat Titans played their last season without their key pacer Mohammed Shami who was ruled out of the entire season with an ankle injury. GT will not dare to release him but at the same time, the franchise will keep an eye on his recovery progress and will auction a player who could replace him in case of his unavailability.

The 2025 mega auction is expected to be held in the 3rd or 4th week of November 2024 in UAE or London. The 2025 mega auction will be a more than-a-day event, unlike the mini auctions which will be hosted in a day.
