But the ICC is not clear on whether this huge economic impact value is actual revenue or not. World Cup matches were watched by a record 1.25 million viewers. According to the ICC report, about 75 percent of them were coming to watch an ICC 50-over match for the first time. The ICC report also said that around 48,000 full and part-time jobs have been created by the ICC World Cup in the hospitality sector and other sectors.
