Mayank Yadav came into limelight in IPL due to his pace and accurate line-length. He got injured in the fourth match itself and was out of the entire tournament. It has been 4 months since then and he has not played any cricket. BCCI has included him in the 15-member squad for the T20 series to be played between India and Bangladesh from October 6. Mayank Yadav has again come into the limelight after being selected for Team India for the first time. Because fans were eagerly waiting for his debut. But do you know who is behind his entry in Team India. That person is none other than India's legendary cricketer and current head of the National Cricket Academy, VVS Laxman.

Special order given for Mayank

Mayank Yadav, who plays for Delhi in domestic cricket, made his IPL debut last season for Lucknow Super Giants. He played only 4 matches but in that time he had made fans and cricket experts crazy about his bowling. Everyone was surprised to see him consistently bowling the ball at the exact line-length at a speed of 150. VVS Laxman was also not untouched by this. Therefore, as soon as Mayank Yadav got injured, BCCI took the responsibility of his care and sent him to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for rehab.

Mayank Yadav's coach Devendra Sharma has now made a big revelation in the interview of Indian Express. He told that Laxman himself took interest in his recovery. He also gave special orders to the NCA staff for rehab and bowling drills. Laxman stressed on Mayank to remain fit for a long time. He asked to first focus on strength and then made him practice bowling. The NCA head did not rush to introduce Mayank quickly and prepared him through a slow process, so that he could play for the Indian team for a long time.

Will Mayank go on Australia tour?

Coach Devendra Sharma has also revealed that Mayank is currently bowling 15 overs daily. BCCI does not want to take any risk. Therefore, it will first test their ability by playing them in the smaller format and if all goes well, they will gradually take them to the bigger format. Therefore he has been given a chance in the T20 series against Bangladesh. Although, there is little hope of him going on Australia tour, but he can be seen traveling with the Indian team during the New Zealand Test series.
