Shakib al Hasan: Bangladesh team is currently playing a 2-Test series hosted by India. Whose second test match is being played on the ground of Kanpur. Former captain of Bangladesh team and great all-rounder player Shakib al Hasan has announced his retirement from T20 International cricket. Whereas now the Kanpur Test match could also be the last Test match.
Because, Bangladesh team now has to play a Test series with South Africa at home and Shakib going to Bangladesh could be a risk. Due to which now Shakib (Shakib al Hasan) can leave Bangladesh with his family and go to America and can now play cricket for the American team only.
Let us tell you that Shakib al Hasan can leave Bangladesh very soon. Because, he has received death threats in Bangladesh. Due to which now it is finding difficult to play his last test match in Bangladesh. According to some media reports, Shakib may now shift to America with his entire family. Due to which now after some time he can be seen playing for the US team only. The veteran all-rounder player has expressed his desire to play his last Test match on the ground of Mirpur.
Shakib Al Hasan wants to play his last Test match at Mirpur ground in Bangladesh. Due to which Shakib sought protection from his board to play his last test match. But the board said on this statement, “Shakib Al Hasan's security is not in the hands of the board. The board cannot provide personal security to any player. Shakib himself has to take the decision on returning to Bangladesh. Their security has to come from the highest levels of the government. His case is pending in the court. So we can't really do much about it."
Just a day before the Kanpur Test, Shakib Al Hasan said in the press conference, “I have expressed to my cricket board my desire to play the last Test match in Mirpur. He agrees to this. The board is making all kinds of arrangements. So that I can go back to Bangladesh. If this does not happen then the match against Team India in Kanpur will be my last match in the Test format.”
He further said, “Returning back to Bangladesh is not a problem but getting out of there can be a problem. My close friends and family are worried about my safety. I think things will get better. There must be some solution to this.”
