SHAKIB AL HASAN ANNOUNCES TEST RETIREMENT: Bangladesh cricket team all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has announced his retirement from T-20 International cricket. Speaking to the media before the second and last Test match against India to be held at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Thursday (27 September), Shakib said that he T-20 World Cup He played his last match for Bangladesh in this format in 2024.

Apart from this, Shakib announced that he will play the last match of his Test career against South Africa in Mirpur in October and if he is not able to play in Bangladesh due to the current circumstances, then the Test against India at Green Park will be the last Test of his career.

Shakib also replied to the journalists regarding playing ODI.

Shakib said that he wants to play ODI cricket for Bangladesh till the Champions Trophy. Which is to be played in the hosting of Pakistan in February-March 2025.

Let us tell you that Shakib is at third place in the list of players taking most wickets in T-20 International cricket. He took 149 wickets in 126 innings of 129 Tests in this format.

It is noteworthy that Shakib's performance in recent times has not been very special. In the first Test against India itself, he could not take a single wicket in bowling and scored innings of 32 runs and 25 runs respectively in batting.
