Both the teams have reached Kanpur for the second test match to be played between India vs Bangladesh. Kanpur's Green Park Stadium is fully ready for the second Test match from September 27. However, the threat of rain was looming for the first two days and it rained even before the start of the match on Thursday. In such a situation, if the rain does not stop even on Friday (27 September), then it is very difficult for the match to take place.

Team India players could not practice

It rained at the Green Park Stadium on Thursday, due to which Indian players could not participate in the practice session. Therefore, the ground staff has added more covers to the 22-year-old pitch and outfield, so that there is no burden on the ground. Apart from this, the floodlights of the stadium were also not working properly. The number of spectators was decreasing due to the ongoing balcony construction in the stadium. Director Dr. Sanjay Kapoor told that the new balcony is ready. The capacity of the balcony will be 1700 spectators, while the stand below it can seat 1900 spectators.

Two super super machines deployed

The grounds director said that the drainage system is fully prepared to deal with any problem caused by rain. Additionally, two super sopper machines are also present to dry the wet pitch and outfield as quickly as possible. Meteorologist Dr. SN Sunil Pandey said that a low pressure area is developing in the Bay of Bengal, hence about 30 to 50 mm of rain is expected between September 27 and September 30.
