There is to be a mega auction before IPL 2025, for which all the teams have started preparing their efforts. Meanwhile, a big news has come out to the team of Chennai Super Kings, which has won the champion title five times. Actually, according to media reports, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) team is going to target two star players in the mega auction to include them in their team.
According to reports, Chennai Super Kings wants to buy Indian team's star all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin and deadly fast bowler Mohammed Shami in the mega auction at any cost. However, they will be able to do this only if both these players are not retained by their old franchises before the mega auction.
Let us tell you that Ravichandran Ashwin was a part of Super Kings for a long time. During this period he played eight seasons for CSK. Chennai Super Kings were banned for two seasons of IPL and then Ashwin separated from the team. After this he became a part of Rising Pune Supergiants, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals teams. So far, he has played a total of 211 matches in IPL and taken 800 runs and 180 wickets. At present he is a part of Rajasthan Royals.
If we talk about Mohammed Shami, he has been in amazing form in the past. Shami could not play the last IPL season due to injury, but before this he took 20 wickets for Gujarat Titans in the year 2020 and 19 wickets in the year 2021. He also performed brilliantly for Team India in the ODI World Cup 2023, so it is clear that not only the Super Kings but all the teams will be keeping an eye on him.
