Latest News :- The Indian men's team has won the gold medal for the first time in the open division of the 45th Chess Olympiad. Two years ago, India's second team had won the bronze medal in the Chess Olympiad held in Mamallapuram. The 45th Chess Olympiad is being held in Budapest, Hungary. Indian men's team has won gold in the open category. India's D. Gukesh and Arjun Ericasi secured the gold medal for India by winning the final match against Slovenia.
This is India's historic achievement in Chess Olympiad.
The Indian men's team also includes Praggnananda, Vidit Gujarati and Harikrishna. China was the rival of the Indian team in the race to win the gold. However, in the end the team lagged behind. India also won the gold medal in the women's category.
