Team India: Team India has to play a big Test series of 5 Test matches under the Border Gavaskar Trophy on the tour of Australia at the end of 2024. For the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia, the selection committee will announce an 18-member team squad instead of 15. There is a high possibility of Shardul, Hardik, Shami and Ishan returning to the Test team in the team squad to be selected for Team India on the Australia tour.

Shardul, Shami will return to the team after injury

Team India

Veteran fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who took the most wickets for Team India in the World Cup 2023, has not played any international match for the team for the last 1 year. Due to which it is believed that now Mohammed Shami will directly take the field for Team India on the Australian tour.

On the other hand, in Test cricket, Team India's veteran all-rounder Shardul Thakur was also injured after participating in the IPL 2024 season, but now if Shardul Thakur also performs well for Mumbai in the opening matches of the Irani Cup and Ranji Trophy, then he too can get a chance in Team India's squad.

Hardik- Ishaan may return to the team

The selection committee may give Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan a chance to make a comeback in the Team India squad for the 5 Test matches to be held on the Australia tour. In the Test series against Australia, Hardik Pandya may get a chance to join the team squad for Test cricket after almost 6 years and Ishan Kishan may also get a chance to join the team squad for Test cricket after almost 1 year.
